“Active Military English Programme”

We offer tailor-made in-country language training in the beautiful country of New Zealand, with affiliated ELT schools in regional centres.  Students will follow a structured IELTS course provided by the staff of the relevant ELT school in order to reach the requisite IELTS level. For example, students who are due to attend Young Officer training or junior officer tactical courses might be expected to carry out language training activities centred on the following:

  • Military vocabulary acquisition, including weapon and equipment terminology

  • Awareness of military organisational structures

  • Familiarisation with tactical aide memoires and operational planning terminology

  • Developing confidence in the planning and delivery of orders and briefings in English

  • Leadership and command tasks

  • Map reading

  • Hiking and camping

  • Field craft

The Active Military English Programme is delivered by former military personnel. The programme includes the provision of home stay, student welfare management, and liaison with and reporting to relevant Embassies/Consulates.
